Monument Way Field

The Monument Way Field on Zone 3 was once the site of what was known as Priors Hall Villa. Recent archaeological excavations have shown it was built by the Romans and this area has been allocated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument because of its historical importance. This means it will always be preserved as a protected green space like the one you see today.

The Heritage Trail - a new 2km walking route!
Start at Davidsons Homes on Zone 3 and loop around two ponds, through woodlands and across the Monument Way Scheduled Ancient Monument Field, to enjoy the nature on your doorstep at Priors Hall Park. This trail is made up of natural footways and uneven trails which are not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies. You should expect muddy conditions in adverse weather, so please wear appropriate footwear.
