Two new nature trails have recently been unveiled at Priors Hall Park, expanding the already impressive array of walking routes available to residents. These new additions offer even more opportunities to connect with the natural beauty of the area, encompassing the woodlands, fields, and designated wildlife sites right on our doorstep. We've set up a new webpage to show you the different walking routes available.
Old Quarry Wood Trail – 1.5 km
Nestled on the eastern edge of Zone 2, the Old Quarry Wood Trail meanders through a woodland area originally planted following the deconstruction of the Old Corby Quarry. Designated as a Local Wildlife Site, this area is rich in biodiversity, boasting a variety of trees, plants, and naturally formed ponds.

Heritage Trail – 2km
The Monument Way Field on Zone 3 was once the site of what was known as Priors Hall Villa. Recent archaeological excavations have shown it was built by the Romans, with findings such as kilns, tiles and a temple mausoleum highlighting the area’s industrial heritage and Iron Age origins.
It has been allocated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument because of its historical importance, meaning it will always be preserved as a protected greenspace. Walkers can start at Davidsons Homes show homes and loop around two ponds, through woodlands and across the SAM field.

To enhance visitor experience, we’ve introduced wayfinding signage across the development, including QR codes linking to maps and a brand-new webpage to help you choose the perfect route. Don’t worry, we’ve incorporated what3words locations too, for pinpoint accuracy.
There are many different routes to walk around Priors Hall Park, with different types of terrain for different experiences and seasons, so we’ve created various maps showing some of the routes available, with a key showing what you can expect from the ground conditions.
The new routes have proven to be extremely popular on social media, with comments including:
• “This is fantastic and one of the reasons I moved to Priors”
• “Highly recommend this walk! The dogs approved”
• “It's a fabulous walk, some great views along there too!”
